Local young people, deployed as social entrepreneurs, break down the divides that isolate communities — supported by an enabling and supporting channel that ensures their survival and growth.

The young community agents provide the sharp end of delivery into the communities and local authorities they serve. They service SMMEs, community-based organisations and ordinary citizens within developing communities, and also serve local authorities with data on the status of the base of the pyramid (BoP). In our view the BoP should be at the top of our focus. These agents are supported by regional incubators at district level and by an enabling back-office environment.
The collection of enabling back-office, regional incubators and community agents forms a delivery channel — a human irrigation system — through which other public- and private-sector entities can deliver products and services into under-serviced communities at reduced cost. The network therefore provides a reach-extension mechanism that sustainably services under-serviced environments while creating enterprises and jobs in remote communities.
